Legend #1 Posted June 16, 2009 (edited) Has anyone else seen this remake of Dragonfire? I wonder if this would be possible on 2600 with the new levels and ladders? Edited June 16, 2009 by Legend
+Nathan Strum #2 Posted June 16, 2009 Looks doable, in principle.
mos6507 #3 Posted June 16, 2009 That looks like a great game. Gotta try it out.
yuppicide #4 Posted June 16, 2009 I presented this idea a long time ago for a Dragonfire II. I think I even drew screens. You'd first start off like regular Dragonfire, but once you get inside the castle on the left you must rescue a princess. She's up top, but the key is guarded by the Dragon who went down into the dungeon.
Legend #5 Posted June 16, 2009 THat sounds pretty cool. I'd really like to see the vertical aspect of the game. Maybe even make it look like nighttime outside the castle.
classicgamingguy #6 Posted June 16, 2009 That does sound great, actually. I've always loved Dragonfire, and a remake would be awesome. -Steve
Legend #7 Posted June 16, 2009 (edited) I also especially liked the part on the first screen the video shows where the player has to jump on platforms like the bridge is crumbling. Here's another video that shows more differences from the original. Some really cool ideas. Edited June 16, 2009 by Legend
Herbarius #8 Posted June 17, 2009 Is it just me or why is everyone mentioning Dragonfire lately?
IHATETHEBEARS #9 Posted June 17, 2009 I assume that's a home brew. What system (if any) was that being played on?
+save2600 #10 Posted June 17, 2009 I assume that's a home brew. What system (if any) was that being played on? Looks like it's a PeeCee port. Great game though that doesn't detract from the original game play or ruin the visuals by going 3-D. Cheers to the chap that thought this up!!
+Ransom #11 Posted June 17, 2009 Is it just me or why is everyone mentioning Dragonfire lately? Because it's one of the greatest games ever made.

Legend #13 Posted June 18, 2009 Yeah it's for the pc. Pretty fun. It takes the basics of the original and just adds a couple interesting twists that stay within the original flavor of the game.
