Why would you pirate games on such an old system?

 

Quite a bit of the fun of retro systems is having the physical media to collect and display.

 

If you just want free games, look to emulation.

For backup purposes, Disc Juggler will back up some discs. CD Clone will do others. There are discs I have not been able to back up.

Personally, I'd rather know whether I can keep my PR and my black IS2 scratchless CDs safely on the shelf and play the game off a backup disk, especially when attending a convention I always feel somewhat nervous about those.
