The Venture Bros. is an incredibly funny satire/parody show in cartoon form. These are some of the best characters on tv right now, period. Trust me, the word "cartoon" doesn't do the show any sort of justice. It's like calling Muhammad Ali a "good fighter" or Jimi Hendrix a "good guitar player".

Then you'll love these, it makes fun of the older cartoons (Sea Lab, Johnny Quest, Scooby Doo, Justice League, all of the oldies). Very good stuff and very adult oriented. Some characters include:

The Monarch, evil butterfly guy

Molotov Cocktease, super secret agent, Russian

Baron Von Unterbeight, bad guy from... somewhere

most over the top, the League of Calamitous Intent

I love that show. Very bloody, lots of references to popular culture. Like Mexican wrestlers and super scientists.

Is there any reason at all the box set looks like an Atari 2600 box or is that just the target audience/age group they target?

Love that picture! Brick, Rusty, Dean and Hank. I can't make out the thing on the table, is that an Atari or something else?

What you see is the same as me...nothing I have owned or seen. They made it very dark.

Love the live-action pic of the family huddled in front of the TV. This packaging is really well done.
