Garner #1 Posted July 10, 2009 Hello. I'm new to the forum. I'm looking for someone who can mod an Atari 7800 for S-Video or Composite video out with RCA audio outs. I've tried 8bitdomain.com and oldschoolgamer.com and both of those turned out to be dead ends. Are there any other reliable websites I can look at? Thanks for any advice. Tempest #2 Posted July 10, 2009 I'd be interested in an 7800 S-Video mod as well. Tempest
holygrailvideogames.com #3 Posted July 10, 2009 You could try Kaze or Doubledown from Atariage. They both do mods but I am not sure which mods that they do.
Almost Rice #4 Posted July 11, 2009 Longhorn Engineer was working on a 7800 mod. I do not know how far he has gotten. He is still a student at UT.
oesii #5 Posted July 11, 2009 (edited) What's the problem with oldschoolgamer.com? He did my 7800 mod a few years ago and it's still solid. He's always been great to work with. Edited July 11, 2009 by oesii
the.golden.ax #6 Posted July 11, 2009 I'll be doing some 7800 stuff later in the year if you can wait until then. AX
Garner #7 Posted July 11, 2009 (edited) What's the problem with oldschoolgamer.com? He did my 7800 mod a few years ago and it's still solid. He's always been great to work with. OSG no longer provides the mod service. I'm thinking of trying Longhorn Engineer to get my 2600 modded. Is he pretty reliable? godzillajoe #9 Posted July 13, 2009 I still have my 8BD mod sitting in the closet, too afraid to take a whack at installing it since the busted 7800 I used as "practice" ended up as swiss cheese. That was two years ago. Anyone in the Boston area 100% sure they can do it for me and wanna make a few bucks?
