Gabriel #1 Posted July 16, 2009 Anyone remember those little credit card sized books supermarket checkout lines used to sell during the 70s and 80s? There were some videogame ones. I remember having one for Pac-Man and Donkey Kong. Who published those things? How many pages was the standard one?
moycon #2 Posted July 16, 2009 I know the books you are talking about. They still have them around here (Horoscopes, Wordsearches, Recipes etc...) I don't recall ever seeing any video game ones though, even back in the day. Maybe there's some on eBay?
fiddlepaddle #3 Posted July 16, 2009 Yeah, I have one on Pacman, but it's not accessible at the moment so I can't tell you how many pages it is (maybe 32?). I also have a couple on Rubik's cube solutions.
jhd #4 Posted July 16, 2009 I had one called How to Win at Aracde Games (or something like that); it had a few pages of strategies for like 10-12 different games. I made it my mission to play every game listed at least once I don't think I managed to find all of them. This would have been around 1983 or 1984. I vaguely remember that the publisher was Del, but I could be mis-remembering.
