Goofy or fun things to do in Oblivion

I recently got the Staff of Worms, so I have been having a bit of fun bringing dead people back to life to fight their own buddies.

 

Climbing a mountain, paralyzing a bear and watching it roll down the mountain (backwards, head over dingleberries) as far as the eye can see is kind of fun. Flippity, floppity, flippity, floppity, flippity, floppity . . .

When my character was a lower level and I was still pickpocketing anything and everything, I spent quite a bit of time picking the armor/weapons off of guards sleeping in Bruma's barracks. It requires some saving and reloading (wouldn't want to get caught! ) but you eventually have some pretty ridiculous-looking guards (for a little while).

 

I haven't encountered the staff you speak of... that sounds pretty fun!

One of my favs was to make myself invisible. You wont agro enemies if they don't see you. In the area's where there was lava all around (Hell gates were they called?) I'd simply walk up to enemies and push them into the lava. They take major damage.

When doing the Thieves guild quests you have to fence xxxx amount of gold, so I decide to go above and beyond the call of duty. I will systematically clean out every single item in every single shop all across Tamriel. As an added bonus after you do this it's not only funny to have the shopkeeper welcome you to an empty shop but it also eliminates the possibility of accidentally clicking on an item and getting charged with theft.

 

 

Take the Adoring Fan up to Dive Rock and send him flying off it whenever you feel bored or frustrated in the game.

 

Go into a guard barracks and conjure up a Scamp then cast Touch of Rage on a few guards.

We just bought this game, for Caf Jr, he's been playing it a lot all weekend. Got it used for $15!

I used to breeze through all the oblivion areas by making a bunch of fire resistance potion, and swimming through the lava, completely circumventing the entire level.

 

Making paralysis arrows was fun. Arrow + Dremora on bridge over lava = SPLASH.

 

Very fun. Poison apples were a hoot too.

I used to make things in Morrowind, but I forgot how. Haven't made anything in Oblivion yet. I was waiting for some kind of mini-mission that showed you how to do it in the game.

I like to get all the guards riled up in Anvil and then get onto the rooftops.
