+Propane13 #1 Posted July 30, 2009 Hi all! Basic question-- do any of the 2600 emulators support a "video capture"? I know that a lot of them support screen capture-- but I'm wondering if any could support video capture. The reason I ask is... if I was debugging some code, and an issue happened "once and awhile", and I don't recall how to reproduce it, a movie in action would be great to review. I'm not sure if any support this-- any knowledge? It could also be used for logging high scores for those of us using emulators (although it would break the rules for Twin Galaxies submissions-- it could only be used for a developer's own enjoyment). So, what's available? Anything? Thanks! -John
e5frog #2 Posted August 1, 2009 There's in MESS: File/Play and Record uncompressed AVI Output... Don't know how good the 2600 emulation is though.
+batari #3 Posted August 1, 2009 PCAE does, though it is now so old that it doesn't work on many newer processors (or at least this is what I've discovered.) Worth a try, anyway.
