Tempest #1 Posted July 30, 2009 Anyone from AA playing Marvel vs Capcom 2? I just downloaded it last night, but I really haven't had a lot of time to play around with it. It seems to be near perfect (I hear it's emulated Dreamcast code) and the semi-updated graphics (filters) look nice, but I just cannot play it with the 360 pad. I tried in vain to pull off hyper moves, but it was almost a no go with the control pad. I've been looking at getting one of those Street Fighter IV TE sticks from Madcatz, but $150 is more than I want to spend on a controller no matter how nice it is. Jess Ragan #2 Posted July 30, 2009 Those Street Fighter joypads are supposed to be pretty good as well. FYI, you can make your own Saturn controller if you're handy with a soldering iron and have access to MadCatz's crappy Arcade Stick. It's a great way to address the issues of the Xbox 360's stock pad.

16-bit #4 Posted July 30, 2009 Have you thought about the SF4 Fight pads? They're only $40. They have a lot better D-pad than the standard 360 controller.
MCHufnagel #5 Posted July 30, 2009 Does playing it on the Dreamcast count? I really want this on the Xbox 360, but I must do what I promised to myself and not buy anything over 800 pts. If it ever goes on sale, it's mine! Besides most of my "fighting game" time is being used up with SF IV.
Tempest #6 Posted July 30, 2009 Have you thought about the SF4 Fight pads? They're only $40. They have a lot better D-pad than the standard 360 controller. Yeah I just picked one up. We'll see how well it works. Tempest
keilbaca #7 Posted July 30, 2009 I just got my 360 revived for the 10th time, just in time to be able to play this game. I'm having serious lag from where I am at for some odd reason. I am using my custom built joystick for the game, and it runs just as good as it ever has. Its a tekken 5 joystick modded into a madkatz controller, and that is mounted into a wooden box. cimerians #8 Posted July 30, 2009 I'm picking up the PS3 version as soon as I get home tonight (if its out yet). I cant stand the 360 controller for fighting games. I like the SNES and PS1\PS2\PS3 controllers for fighting games. The 360 controller is great for just about anything else though.

True, 1200pts is a bit expensive, but it beats paying $30-$50+ for the Dreamcast, Xbox, or PS2 versions. The graphics look pretty good, but it seems like they did more work on the backgrounds than on the character models. I was expecting a little more, like they did w/ Super SF II Turbo HD Remix. moycon #10 Posted July 30, 2009 I'll be picking this one up tonight. I really don't care either way what controller I use, I'll suck regardless! LOL
Jess Ragan #11 Posted July 31, 2009 Tempest, Take a look at this old post on the Saturn Junkyard: http://thesaturnjunkyard.blogspot.com/2008...o-xbox-360.html This should fill you in on what you'll need and what you'll need to do.
Tempest #12 Posted July 31, 2009 What a difference a controller can make. Using the Streetfighter pad I was able to beat the game easily using Cable, Juggernaut, and Wolverine. On a side note, why does Cable's arm turn to ice (I think) sometimes when he wins? I never read the comic so I have no clue. Tempest

Tempest His body is infected with a techno-organic virus. That's where his cybernetic arm comes from. Originally he had to telekinetically keep the virus from taking over his body at all times. I'm guessing they show his arm growing at the end of the fight due to the strain of fighting and focusing on his virus at the same time. A little comic book nerdery fact for you all. Ouch, of course XBLA gets it first. I'll wait till next week, hopefully it will be out then, I waited this long so might as well get what I want. MagitekAngel #17 Posted August 2, 2009 I have this on the Dreamcast and its pretty much my favorite fighting game of all time. Pleased to see it available for download, but I don't plan on paying for the same game again. I think Ill hold out for Turtles in Time.
Tempest #18 Posted August 4, 2009 Changed my team over to Cable, Hayato, and Silver Samurai. Cable is great for projectile spam, not to mention he's way over powered. Hayato is my in close guy, he just goes nuts with that sword. Silver Samurai is for those people who do nothing but block. His chip damage is insane, and he's not too bad with regular attacks.
