the.golden.ax #26 Posted August 30, 2009 Attached are pics of my Game Boy Kiosk. It's currently for sale on ebay. The thing is crazy heavy I can't help but notice it isn't flying out the door. I'd love to have it, but I need all my organs right now. AX
Video #27 Posted August 30, 2009 Yeah, two of them on Ebay at the moment, at the exact same price point.... Love the look of it though, maybe I'll build a mockup? That could be fun, and like GameMan, really get the WTF factor going.
the.golden.ax #28 Posted August 30, 2009 I think that you could build a fairly good GameBoy full size... I'm thinking that even if you can't hack the video output the same as a real Kiosk, one of those first generation PSP video camera deals that lets you play the system on TV would work wonders. Also, working with fiber glass you may be able to get a very plastic like kiosk. Its fun to think about but around 10 years down the road for me with the amount of projects I've got going The Sega will be the first. AX

pinball22 #30 Posted September 3, 2009 I really like the old-school kiosks like the Coleco and Inty ones that have places for pics of a bunch of different games or storage for selling them from. It all seems so nice and organized.

SuperDork3000 #34 Posted August 28, 2016 I consider the Atari Jaguar kiosk one of the best looking ever. Here's a pic of mine. I like the Dreamcast one next. I think the Saturn one looks really awesome and I would like to add that one to the collection some day.
jhd #35 Posted August 30, 2016 I am impressed that people manage to find these kiosks for sale. I have never seen any. I was once in a thrift shop that had a Nintendo or Sony (memory fails) branded display cabinet, obviously from a store. When Target Canada went out of business, I checked local stores for kiosks or display pieces, but all I saw was a Skylanders display, and that was clearly labeled as being returned to the supplier; it was not for sale. I've seen a few around here, and even remnant branding of previous consoles on various shelves, etc. They almost always seem to be in the older stores that haven't been renovated (if ever) in a long time. Keep a look out for those- they're out there
7800fan #37 Posted August 30, 2016 I have the SNES countertop model with original Zeneith display. It needs recap, it was giving shit color last time I tried it, I need to dig them out of the basement, do some testing, and recap. SNES console had 2 wires added in that runs to the RGB board and timer which triggers automatic reset after x time had passed to discourage people from playing it all day. The RGB board has SCART connector from SNES side and outputs via 9 pin RGB. I'd have to photograph it all as well, pictures are pretty hard to get anyway. I *used* to have a tall Virtualboy display with original key and Wario Land Demo cart but sold it on eBay long ago. VB wasn't my thing anyway. I don't think I have any picture but it was just a standard VB system with extra long controller cord + SNES AC adapter tap, and a heavy metal stand with added lighted top. The top was on separate power and could be powered without using VB or vice versa, just unplug one or other from inside the stand. The VB had no alteration or mod such as anti-hog reset timer. I also have a Gamecube display stand but it had been stripped of everything. No controller, no console, no display, etc. as it's how I got it. Just metal frame and a few parts. I'm tempted to slap a "FREE U-HAUL" sign on it and let it be someone else's project. It is currently stored in a barn that is about to collapse so it'd take time to safely remove it. I did see a Gamecube display in Goodwill long ago, a rarity and it was crazy expensive as well.
Blazing Lazers #38 Posted August 30, 2016 Rarest one's I've ever seen are Astrocade and 3DO kiosks.

SuperDork3000 #40 Posted August 31, 2016 Rarest one's I've ever seen are Astrocade and 3DO kiosks. Their was a 3DO kiosk for sale on ebay for the longest time but, the seller wouldn't ship. Honestly, even though it's rare, it was pretty boring looking.
