FO/FT: Some Very Rare NES Boxes

Recommended Posts

I have some very hard to find NES boxes up for offer or for trade. The condition varies, but you can get a general idea of condition from the pictures. I will of course take better pictures of any box for those who are seriously interested. I'm not desperate for cash and have no problem holding onto these unless I get an offer I'm looking for, so please keep that in mind when sending an offer through.

As far as trades are concerned, I am always interested in NES prototypes that I don't own, as well as finishing up the rest of my unlicensed set.

Here is a list of unlicensed games I still need:

6 in 1 Caltron

6 in 1 Myriad

Action 52

Alien Syndrome

Bible buffet

Big Nose Freaks Out

Black Jack

Bubble Bath Babes

Cheetamen II

Death race

Dizzy the Adventurer (Aladdin)

Hot Slots

Impossible Mission II

Joshua & The Battle of Jericho

King Neptune’s Adventure

Linus Spacehead’s “Cosmic Crusade”

Maxi 15

Mermaids of Atlantis

Peek a Boo Poker

Quarttro Arcade

Rad Racket: Deluxe Tennis II

Raid 2020

Robodemons

Silent Assault

Sunday Funday

Tiles of Fate

Wally Bear and the No! Gang

Feel free to make public offers or through PM. Don't hesitate to ask questions either!

I'll take one of each box, and give you one loose game off your list for each box. I need to print the list and fill it yet, but I am certain I can come up with around 9.

Definitely something I'd consider, but I'm not looking to trade a Power Blade 2 or Panic Restaurant box for a Wally Bear cart or a Quarttro Arcade, you know what I mean? Let me know what you have on your list and we can probably work something out.

Hey MrMark0673 and the.golden.ax as well...

My personal collection contains a Dragon Warrior IV with everything....but the box. If there is any way in which I could pluck that one for a fair amount (I have no items in your trade list), I would appreciate it.

If not, no big deal. the.golden.ax jumped in first, so I figured I should just speak now & see if there was a chance.

I do really need that box, same type of situation, I have the map and everything. It's going to be MrMarks call if he likes our trade. If I do end up with it, and in the process of doing my CIB nes stuff I for some reason find another you will be the first person I contact. I'm going at Nintendo fairly gungho. I started a month ago and I'm already over 100 NES (maybe nearly 200) and over 200 SNES all in boxes :D long way to go but a good start.

haha! Awesome, man.

The NES boxes look really great on the shelf. That cardboard look really lets the artwork standout. I wish the SNES boxes weren't so universal (that black look with a logo) because the NES boxes really had some character.

Regardless - excellent news, the.golden.ax. It sounds like a collection you'd want to take some pictures of.

Nice start Ax man, sounds like it's coming along nicely. I just rearranged my collection and snapped some pics of it in the process:

Complete NTSC licensed collection, and getting close on the unlicensed end. All the clam shell cases on the 4th row down on the left book shelf are my protos. I made a layer of boxes behind all of the carts to bring them to the front (411 boxes now) and snapped a pic of some of my favorite boxes before they went into hiding:

Now that's some straight sexy card board :)

Anyway, these boxes are still all up for grabs. Like I said before, I'm not desperate to sell, but I'll move these for the right offer. No holds on this stuff, the first offer I like on any of these boxes is going to take one or all of them, so let me know what you've got in mind sooner than later.

Wow, is the Godzilla 2 box rare? I might have to dig out my CIB copy some day soon... I was always obsessed with keeping the boxes when I was kid, didn't know that they'd ever be valuable though. Sadly all my NES, SNES, Gameboy and N64 have been sitting in a storage shed far far away... I hope nothing has happened to them. :|

A loose copy runs about $15-$20, but CIB has gotten pricey. Obviously, EBay BIN prices of items that have not yet sold aren't a great indication of value, but of the 4 CIB Godzilla 2s on EBay, the cheapest is $75. Just food for thought I guess.
