How to make an 16MB spartados disk ?

Recommended Posts

I want to make an bootable 16 mb .atr with spartados on it. Can somebody explain to me how

to get the 16MB .atr, and where to get spartados, and how to make the 16MB .atr bootable ?

And...(ok, last thing :) ) i would like that when it boots in Atari++ it doesn't make the loading beeps

and let's you wait, but when you start it, it stands onscreen(because atari++ loads it so fast)- like it does when

you boot atari DOS II

Thanks for your help !

Here's one... SD32g.zip

Basically to make a bootable SD disk,

1) Create the ATR - I used APE for this

2) format the ATR - I used SDX 4.42 for this

3) Copy the DOS files to the new ATR

4) Make it bootable using the BOOT command ( D1:BOOT DOS>X32G.DOS )

5) It's ready to be used

NOTE: After, I boot the disk under SD3, I run CLEANUP.COM to correct the 'Free Sector' count since the SD 3 and SDX 4 free sector counts are off by 1 byte from each other. You could just use the HDFMTDIR.COM program to format with SD 3 and skip the CLEANUP step.
