I need E.T. carts

I know that sounds freaking psychotic, but I need about 100 of them to start with, I'm working on a project that I think everyone will like (believe me, it'll be super special)

 

Why E.T.? Because it sucks and no one likes it, so they might as well get destroyed. Anyway, dig around in your box of doubles (there should be like 20 copies in there) and let me know how many you have, and what you want for them (and none of that $1 each crap, you should be paying me to take them)

I've never had any ill feelings directed towards E.T. - I can't say I ever had any real expectations for the game, and I did like the discovery aspect of it, and I think a lot of the negative press has been incorrectly perpetuated over time.

 

AA gives (for non-silver label games) 50 cents credit per cart, so that is probably a good base number to use.

 

If your topic gets moved, one of the mods might put it in the Wanted subforum of the Marketplace, so look for it there.

At least if the carts are donated they go towads making new games and supporting the community. What are you working on for them?

Unfortunately, any copies I do have are hidden away in boxes. I generally come across them when I'm not looking for them.

Besides, I hate that game, so why would I visit that 5 page section of your web site? I simply need a ton of old carts for a project that people will enjoy and benefit from, and you're pulling some fanboy crap? Get over yourself.

 

Okay, they don't have to be ET carts, I just need carts, so I requested ET because it's the one everybody has a bunch of, and if makes you feel any better, I've already gutted out 20 of my own copies, and I still have 37 more.

I'll announce it as soon as I have the first few prototypes done, it's fairly labor intensive and I'm the only one doing it, so it may take a few weeks

Generally speaking people will be less likely to help you if you are rude or nasty especially to long standing members, and especially if someone can't contribute something positive. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and making fun of what people enjoy isn't very nice nor does it help your 'cause'.

 

This place is a community and not just words on a page. I've been fortunate to be a part of it for 6 years.

People have been very kind through the years and helped each other when they needed it. In fact, you're looking for help as well in trying to get carts in spending time on these boards so it seems silly to mock what you yourself are doing.

 

There are also many gaming get togethers across the country basted on friendships and the enjoyment of gaming stemming from these boards. Many games are sent across the world and they were programmed and tested on these boards as well.

 

Don't know who that person's picture is supposed to be but it does seem fairly ignorant and childish to me. Unless you are telling people that someone is number one?

I'm trying to collect materials to make some fun tech toys for everyone, and all I'm getting from people is a bunch of cynical and myopic responses simply because I have a long standing hatred of a clearly inferior game. Try hassling the people that are going off topic, and hassling me for having a differing opinion.

 

I know why I'm getting the short end of the stick here, that's no mystery to me, but I'm not the only one being an asshole. So if you want to live up to your "Moderator" status, try doing it. The finger is for all the people who are trying to get my panties in a knot (and they've done a wonderful job so far). I don't have to do this project, I'm doing it because I want to make the quest (our quest) a little easier.

 

So maybe you guys could try being helpful instead of "I guess you never visited this 5 page section of my web site" or "right back atcha, Mr. 26 Posts" or "Wow, desperation and attitude in one post...good work...". If I wanted a bunch of crap from people all day, I'd go work at the mall.

No, no wallets, that sounds dumb to begin with. I'm making some fun little tech toys for when we're out scouring the landscape for our Atari stuff, it'll be neat.

Drama aside, the crap recycle games usually are worth about 50 cents to anyone who wants them for any reason. Do you have any interest in other brands imagic, activision, or anything like that? I have some in my free thread if you want to pay for shipping.
