DaytonaUSA #1 Posted August 21, 2009 (edited) Not that it's a huge surprise here, but I'm a huge Sega Saturn fan. I was going through my collection and was leafing through my US long case games and reorganizing. Then I noticed something. No game that I have is like this, except Rayman. The logo is upside down. I'm assuming it's because the "rings of Saturn" still makes an "S" even when upside down, and the designer didn't notice it was upside down. Below is a copy of Panzer Dragoon, which is like every other case out there. Odd, no? Any others like this? Is everyone's copy of Rayman like this? EDIT: I just noticed.. the "TM" mark on the upside down logo is right side up!!! So it's not a mistake.. he honestly thought that was right side up? Wouldn't Sega have caught this? DaytonaUSA #3 Posted August 21, 2009 (edited) Sega Quality control for you Yeah, they are all like that. Check out the 32X logo on the side of DOOM. AX Haha, of course the only 32X game I don't have a box for is Doom All my US Saturn games (haven't looked at the Sega CD or 32X ones yet...) are right side up. Is this something Sega would have had to make, or Ubisoft? Edited August 21, 2009 by DaytonaUSA
the.golden.ax #4 Posted August 21, 2009 Not sure who made the inserts but I'm betting it was Sega since it's standardized. They had the machines to do the job. AX
+atari2600land #5 Posted August 21, 2009 I happen to have the box for Rayman for Sega Saturn and the logo is upside down on it, too.
jeremysart #6 Posted August 21, 2009 I have a copy of the game Astal, and it has no title on the spine. Of all my Saturn games its the only one with out any words or logo on the spine.

Any other Saturn games with odd cover/spine issues?

None that im aware of, but I wouldnt be all too surprised. Do these label anomalies bring up the value or rarity? I have a sealed copy of Doom.. too bad it happens to be the worst port ever lol. Atariman #11 Posted August 23, 2009 Yeah... if you take some time to really check out the back of the Saturn cases, you'll see just how awful their QC must've been. Sharpie'd out text, stickers covering/replacing erroneous information, and typos here and there. I think one of the WWF games even spells one of the wrestler's names two different ways on the back (the "In Your House" game). Pretty ridiculous considering that typos like that could have been caught if only one or two people had double-checked the work.
