broker3460 #1 Posted August 21, 2009 Hello all, I have a few questions if anyone could please help me here. 1st ? I have this Game cover that says EA LTD on the lid no other markings whats so ever. I have looked everywhere for this and cant find any information on it. Is this EA Sports when it first came to fruition or is it associated? Is it rare? Anyone know the price it would go for? heres some pics. 2nd ? I have this Atari 2600 ORIGINAL 4 Switch WOODGRAIN Atari 2600 (CX2600A) game console what would it be worth in Mint condition and also it has the number 306 indented in the plastic as well I have a picture to show you approximately were it's at, is this the manufacture # like 1 through 1000 or something? Other than that thank you for all your help...
Animan #2 Posted August 24, 2009 IS it an actual game case, or is it a different case. Also, that isn't an EA logo, the first one had weird shapes, and said Electronic Arts, not EA.
Spazmonkey #3 Posted August 24, 2009 $15 for the atari, nothing special, and it's a detriment in that it's stamped with a number. Why sell it though? Keep it for some good atari fun.

Well, a mint one would be worth a lot more than yours Yours is worth about $20.
video game addict #5 Posted August 24, 2009 How come the pics are so big? I haven't even opened them yet and they're already squooshing my page up! I think that case is a rare one alright. I don't think I've seen it before, but price isn't too much unfortunately. It'd cost more to ship than it's worth. The numbers on the back of the Atari are often just date stamps, nothing special, definitely not a serial/production number. Does look nice and clean. As a set with games & case you might get $40 for it all on ebay.
homerwannabee #6 Posted August 24, 2009 Huh,just checked my 4 switcher, and my number is 341. Mine is not in gold like yours though. Interesting case. Are you sure it is for the Atari 2600? Could be for another video game system or something else. Still, nice score.
jeremysart #7 Posted August 24, 2009 I scored 3 of those cases at a trade center for $6 Unfortunately they are not worth much, but they sure do look nice with the system and games in it. I was lucky, and ended up with one built for the 2600, one for the Intellivision, and one for an NES. They look great together! Unfortunately, I stepped on the lid to the one for the 2600
broker3460 #8 Posted August 27, 2009 IS it an actual game case, or is it a different case. Also, that isn't an EA logo, the first one had weird shapes, and said Electronic Arts, not EA. Everything seems to fit perfectly (the mounting area on the bottom fits the rubber grips on the bottom of the Atari like a glove so I would think it was made for it for sure.) I should have taken a picture with the system in the case as well but didn't think about it. I've looked everywhere for this cases maker and cant find anything. Thank you... Why would they call it mint if it's new? Mint condition is an expression used in the description of pre-owned goods thats in like new condition. Not so much, I find nice looking Atari's all the time, and I never pay more than about $20 for them, and that's only if they come with games and joysticks and the like. Mint to a collector means "MINT" never used, sealed in the box, with a fine layer of dust from the Atari warehouse.

If I hear "mint condition", I have the understanding that the item in question is technically used, but in immaculate condition. Something that has been used, but it wouldn't necessarily be obvious that it had been.

Not a scratch, nor a scuff, nor a fingerprint on it. If there's even the slightest of scuffs, or minor stuff visible only in a certain light in closeup... it's not mint. "Mint" is reserved for the best of the best, and if you sell me something "mint" it better damn well be perfect perfect. Cheers A
