STICH666 #2 Posted August 24, 2009 I got about 101,00 points and got a game over at phase 19, how far can you get? (im using the gameboy advance one, will this make my score lower?) The GBA version is a direct NES port so not likely..
jeremysart #3 Posted August 25, 2009 I have gotten as far as phase 68, but.. that is the Atari 2600 version. The only reason I didnt get any farther is because I got bored of playing it, lol. Same with Astrosmash for Intv. You get so far and end up with much too many lives.
Lord Thag #4 Posted August 25, 2009 I haven't played it in years, but when I used to be a big Mario Bros fan, I could pretty much play it until I got bored and turned it off. These days, my favorite version is the 2nd Atari 8-bit one released for the XE, mainly just because it's the only one that didn't get play time as a kid. I was all over the Atari and NES ones. Sgt.Pepper1983 #5 Posted August 25, 2009 The atari 2600 version is the only one I have. I can't remember what level I got to, but my average score ranges from 50,000 to 60,000. Somewhere above 80,000 but below 90,000 is the best I've ever done.
Video #6 Posted August 25, 2009 I only get int ophaze 30-40 area on the GBA, but useually have around 250,000 points (those combos are key in getting points, especially if you luck into the ocasional 3 or 4 combos) I can play the 2600 one untill I roll the score, or roll the stage, but I useually top off about 30 because I get tired of dodging the fireballs (after phase 10 or so, it's more about dodging the fireball and less about killing the enemies)
