Lumpbucket #1 Posted October 12, 2002 I have an F14 Tomcat with a label different to the one on AtariAge. It is a very cheap cartridge; the plastic is very thin, and its all one moulded piece that folds down the back. It has a very plain label, and the cart itself has "Activision" moulded into the back of it. It has no back label (the plastic hinges on the back, so a label would not sit properly). The ROM is slightly different to the AtariAge one, but i think thats because its PAL. (the scan isn't skewed, the label is at an angle on the cart ) ROM dump
Raijin Z #2 Posted October 12, 2002 Yeah, that sure seems like a variant to me. The version I had as a kid had a black label, could stack with Activision carts, and it had Absolute Entertainment's name and logo on it. That kinda looks like the second set of Activision carts, only I think those were navy blue with white text.
King Atari #3 Posted October 13, 2002 I believe that's a Salu release. They did that sort of thing in the late-80's in the UK. They're not very rare, but somewhat of a minor novelty.
