+sgrddy #1 Posted August 29, 2009 ... Zero5 just repeatedly kicked my ass - but I finally made it past level 1. It's a pretty fun game really. Did you play Atari today?
ovalbugmann #2 Posted August 29, 2009 I'm playing the super exciting, fast paced action game: Dino Dudes on Jaguar!! It's a thrill a minute, explosion filled, awesome brain-busting puzzler disguised as a platformer. j/k - no really I've had this cart forever(1994) and have never played it outside of putting the cartridge in for a second to see if it works, so I thought I would try it and it's a really slow-paced, grey-matter stimulator game for hard core puzzle people. Not necessarily bad, but very diffferent from Zero5 and all the other action games on the Jag.

I had never played Zero5 before yesterday. I did buy those drive mechanisms from that website you listed - thanks for that tip by the way. Yes, Zero5 is a nice arcade style shooter, kinda tough though and requires decent time input to get used to it and skilled playing. Oh!, You ordered some from Dalbani in Florida!, cool another JaguarCD Player fixed then! It's not too hard a job; just 6 wires to solder re-using the little wiring harness and re-using the mechanism frame. I'm careful with the four rubber shock absorbers and very careful not to bend the ribbon cable. Yeah, I guess a lot of JaguarCDs needed fixing because they are sold out of the OEM original equipement manufacturer Philips replacements and now just have generic ones. I need to call them to see if they can get more Philips(the actual JaguarCD manufacturer) ones in as I have used both types and the Philips seem to be better in quality. (There's a small sticker on the back of the replacement unit that will say Philips with their logo that the generics don't have) Edited August 29, 2009 by ovalbugmann

Sorted bra .still_alive by any chance? Aww you just gave away the most crafty bit of the source code. Now people will steal it and make carts for huge profit :( Edited August 30, 2009 by promethea

I've always had a lot of fun with that game. It's not the best in the world, but certainly entertaining.

AX I feel that way about a lot of my sealed games... But like a car is meant to be driven, a game is meant to be played.
