Classic Pac #1 Posted August 30, 2009 I just started to play Zelda Oracle of Seasons on my GBC just a little while ago, I got the game when it first came out and when I could not get the boomerang right away I just put the game aside. Now many years later and armed with a whole slew of Gameshark codes I just now started to play it. You know I still can't get the boomerang, so I am making do, and good progress as well I am just about to do level 6 dungeon Temple Ruins. And I have to say, this game is way harder and more complicated than the last Zelda game I played Link's Awakening DX. Even with a walkthrough I stil find there is stuff it missed, like running in to Maple the Witch for the second time as apart of the trade up game. I did not know about Maple's Ring and what I had to do to get it. I still hope to finish the game in my lifetime, and hope it doesn't get any more complicated than it already is. rpgfaker #2 Posted August 30, 2009 The Golden beasts were hard to find..and that Subrosian dance nearly cost me a gameboy color.
MagitekAngel #3 Posted August 30, 2009 I got both of them when they came out, and they're still favorites of mine. I powered through them both ways - Seasons then Ages, and Ages then Seasons. Minish Cap was good, but it doesn't touch the Oracle games. Neither does Phantom Hourglass. Link's Awakening... maybe. I miss that game, lost it long ago in a move, and every time I've tried to replace it, the save battery has gone dry.
StanJr #4 Posted August 30, 2009 Seasons was a lot of fun, and frustration. There are so many different times and reasons to change the seasons I was lost 50% of the time I was playing it. I know I didn't clear everything, but I was just happy to complete the game. As much as I really enjoyed Link's Awakening, Seasons felt a lot more like a complete Zelda experience. I still need to get Time, I see it around here a lot for about $15, it has to be worth that, right?
MagitekAngel #5 Posted August 30, 2009 I think its a fair price. Ages was my favorite of the two, but its indescribably more fun when you play them both and swap passwords between the two.
Seob #6 Posted August 30, 2009 I was pretty far in the game, but the backup battery has gone bad, so i lost my progress.

I have a really good walkthrough I got it from gamefaqs.com and you know what I still get lost sometimes
Video #8 Posted August 30, 2009 I played through the first couple of dungeons and got stuck.....three times....in the EXACT same place. So I finely got pissed and threw the game out. To bad, what little I got to play was cool, but at this point I have zero interest in even trying to get another copy of it.
Tr3vor #9 Posted August 31, 2009 i own this game and i think it is awesome for the GBC. i can beat the subrosian dance very easily. i have only beat it once. it is pretty dang hard.
Emehr #10 Posted August 31, 2009 I beat one of the games and am lost on the other. Good games but, man, if you put any of the two down for an extended period of time and try to come back to it later, may as well start over!
JerryTerrifying #11 Posted September 1, 2009 I finally beat Ages about a year ago and started on Seasons. I bought them both when they first came out. I've beaten the first 3 dungeons in Seasons...don't know when I'll get back to it though.
shadow460 #12 Posted September 2, 2009 I've played a little of them both. I got through a couple of dungeons in Ages, but Seasons is so complex that it kinda turned me off at first. The save batteries are easily replaced. Most battery shops like Interstate or Batteries Plus have the right size and can mount then for you. You may have to open the case, but the game bit driver is not expensive. Time... are you talking about Ocarina of Time? Now that's entertainment, although it can get very frustrating. The last time I played that, once I got to the second part of the game, I got treasures from each of the temples and then went back and finished the bosses one by one. I braved the Fire Cavern with fairies to get into the dungeon there without the red suit. Majora's Mask is the one I always start but can never finish. I don't want to have to keep track of 54 (!!!) Pieces of Heart when I can't remember which ones I got a year ago and which ones I left.

I'm not going to say I've been able to do it... yet. But it sure is fun to try. And it makes the temple that much more menacing in feel. figgler #15 Posted September 4, 2009 (edited) ..and that Subrosian dance nearly cost me a gameboy color. Hell yes. I pressed in on my GBA screen so hard I am lucky I didn't wreck it. I never do stuff like that. Still, I love the hell out of Seasons. It's my favourite of the 3 Gameboy games, but if you're going to play them together I like to do Ages first, then Seasons. There is extra stuff if you play the games on GBA, which I thought was pretty awesome. Edited September 4, 2009 by figgler
