C compiler for vectrex

A C 6809 compiler for vectrex was downloadable on many vectrex sites, but the package was a bit old and runs only on pure DOS mode.

I've repackaged the compiler to work under win XP.

The original C compiler for vectrex is GCC 2.81 based.

Welcome to AA and thanks for the information. Hopefully it'll lead to more Vectrex homebrew development.

 

From my experience, 6809 "C" compilers can be pretty efficient. I used the COSMIC 6809 "C" compiler many, many years ago.

Are there instructions for installing and using this compiler? I've had great difficulty making Vectrex C work in the past. A really clean and intuitive install would really be appreciated!

 

(I wonder what happened to Martijn Wenting and his fabled Vectrex BASIC...)

Instruction is:

Download and copy somewhere on your HDD

 

Go to a demo directory

click build.bat

 

To start a new project, copy a demo

 

I also hate compilers that do not compile at the first time...
