phaxda #5 Posted September 4, 2009 Mario Kart 64 / Wii -- in the "N64 Sherbet Land" course (my favorite!) Also there's a game where you're dressed as a penguin and catch fish on an iceberg in Wii Fit. Also one of my favorites! Oh, and you can't forget this guy who stars in a few Wallace and Gromit games (Project Zoo, among others). That's right, it's Feathers McGraw! Probably my most favorite penguin. +thegoldenband #18 Posted September 5, 2009 (edited) Penguin-Kun Wars 1 & 2, for the MSX and MSX2 respectively. (There are also Famicom and arcade versions of PKW1.) It's a great action/quasi-sports title where you engage in tabletop ball fights with various creatures, trying to get all ten balls on your opponent's side (and vice versa) while wailing on them whenever possible. I played the Famicom version of PKW1 quite a lot, and it was good fun though a bit limited; I've just started playing PKW2 for the MSX2, and so far it seems like the perfect example of a quality sequel, expanding and deepening gameplay without losing sight of the original's character. Another terrific game starring a penguin is Hebereke (which translates as "unreliable drunk", more or less) for the Famicom. Great music. This was later released for the NES in English translation (only in Europe?) as Ufouria, but with substantially different character graphics that turn the protagonist from a penguin into some sort of bug-eyed humanoid figure.
