STICH666 #1 Posted September 12, 2009 I am. I can't freaking stand losing screws or small parts like springs to that damn thing. Now I can't even put my NES back together correctly.
+GroovyBee #2 Posted September 12, 2009 For a vaccum with a hose attachment use a pair of tights/suspenders/pantyhose/stockings over the end. Mind you, you might not be old enough for any of that yet .
gdement #3 Posted September 13, 2009 If you do suck up a critical part, it's not like it's impossible to get it out of the bag.
retrorussell #4 Posted September 13, 2009 I'm not usually too bad with wayward screws (I usually put them in a dish or a cup when I'm done taking them out) but cords are usually what's in my way. I need to vacuum more often in those areas because I'm pretty bad with food crumbs.
Video #5 Posted September 13, 2009 I use a compartmentalized Pill box (like four times a day for a week, or some such) to keep screws and other tiny parts in. Anything bigger, I got a toolbox to keep it in, though bigger stuff wouldn't be the same problem screws would be. I actually have a separate area to work on my games and toys though, and lots of mag trays to keep stuff around. Like said above, any breatheable strong fabric wrapped around the end of the vacuum will keep tiny parts out of it, if you use something like a shop vac, it's easy enough to get a spring or screw out of it with a magnet. MagitekAngel #6 Posted September 13, 2009 Now here's a question that made me laugh. However, it's not a problem I've ever had. I'm so anal retentive that I can't leave my gaming crap lying around opened with the screws all astray. I have to reassemble and clean up as soon as I'm done working. shadow460 #7 Posted September 14, 2009 I'd just pick important stuff out of the vacuum tub. I've dug screws outta there before. Can't reach a dropped screw? Reach it with the vacuum wand and then just dig it out.
jeremysart #8 Posted September 16, 2009 What im more afraid of is how to keep my game room smelling good. Aerosol sprays scare me :-P And I have this complex where I like to be able to see all my systems when I walk in, but on the other hand, dust happens And even worse, spiders. The other day I lifted the lid off the Intellivision game center and there was an eight legged friend looking up at me
pinball22 #9 Posted September 17, 2009 What im more afraid of is how to keep my game room smelling good. Aerosol sprays scare me :-P Get a Yankee Candle electric air freshener in a smell you like... we use the Sage&Citrus one. Then plug it in to a timer and have it only be putting out smell for an hour or so a day. Makes things pleasantly clean-smelling but not overwhelming.
