Thought I'd post this in case anyone is interested..... Amazon is now taking pre-orders for the Xbox360 Elite Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition Console.

 

The console has a special Call of Duty paint job, comes with a 250gb hard drive, two controllers, and a regular edition copy of Modern Warfare 2.

 

Release date: Nov. 10th.

I dunno. The ODST Elite system looks kinda boring. It's not even done up at all with any kind of Halo deco or badging. Hopefully that's just a mock up and the system will look different at release.

Oh you're right. It's just a black Elite with a couple games included. I thought it might be geared after those new ODST controllers I saw a few weeks ago.

I must have taken them a whole ten minutes to come up with.

Nope, it didn't.

 

But it did bring up the subject of pricing: a 120gb HD is $150 right now; going by that price point, a 250gb HD would be $250 to $300, which is almost the price of the Elite console.

 

Will be interesting to see how they price it.

I got my 120gb drive for $70 + shipping. I think the total was $75. Came from china but what do I care, that's where the 360 comes from too. Got it from Amazon.com

 

But I still think this package is a good deal and I might pick one up.

Pre-ordered mine last week. I was planning on treating myself to an Elite soon so I could add Multiplayer to an XNA game I'm working on. Game had a good deal on Elite bundles but saw a hastily scribbled notice outside a Game shop in Bangor about this Limited Edition unit. Looked a good deal then (just £50 more with a much larger hard drive and a second controller). Didn't take much (well, nothing really) to persuade the wife to let me put a deposit down on it.

 

That's my Christmas present sorted.

 

Although she thinks that I should trade in my old one. Women. They never understand these things.

pretty sweet package. I still think my Resident evil 360 is the best though (hated the halo model ugh) this one is well done though nice big drive a game and a nice paint job.
