Racing Game w/ Minimal Controls?

Anyone know of a racing game that could use only a four-way joystick? Maybe left/right for steering and up/down for acceleration and braking?

I remember the NES version of Spy Hunter worked that way.. I set it up on Mame to work that way once, I think.
