Retro duo question

Does anyone know if the retro duo will work with a snes super scope to play nes gun games. Would like to know before buying the super scope. thanks guys

The reason I ask is the retro duo uses standard snes controllers with no mods

Yobo makes a NES light gun with a SNES plug, its pretty cheap though. I also do not that hard to wire your own SNES plug onto a NES Zapper. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong on that last one since I'm not an expert on that stuff.

Do they even use the same tech? I know a SNES controller simply uses 2 NES controller chips(which is why you can wire a SNES dog bone to a NES), but I dunno jack shit about the light guns.

It's not going to work, the Super Scope uses infrared sensor equipment more similar to the Wii remote than to the Zapper, which won't in itself be compatible with NES games regardless of the hardware you're playing them on. Just get the Yobo zapper.
