I'm not selling the N64 DD separately. That would kinda make the rest a bit useless. Besides, you'd need the Japanese N64 anyway.. a US one will not work for games like F-Zero.

Because F-Zero needs to be in the 64 as well as the DD game (at the same time). You can't put the Japanese F-Zero cart in the American 64, and the US version of F-Zero isn't compatible.

Ok that makes sense, I hate how the Japanese always seem to get the cooler accessories and they never seem to make it to the US martket . . . kind of makes me made actually . .

I don't much like putting items like this on eBay. I'd try chase the chuck wagen, but honestly the site was kinda hard to navigate, and there doesn't seem to be a lot of people there. I'd think I'd have more of an audience here.

Incorrect. I have a US N64, N64DD unit, Japanese copy of F-Zero X and can use the Expansion Kit perfectly fine. Sure, I removed the tabs from inside the cart slot, but any self-respecting importer would do that so they could play Japanese titles back then...

 

I have the complete set of N64DD titles and the keyboard. Everything works fine with my US N64.

I just wanted to point out that having a Japanese N64 was not a requisite to using a N64DD, a US N64 is perfectly fine. You just need the tabs removed if you want to play the F-Zero X Expansion Kit per se; the rest of the N64DD software works perfectly on a US N64 as is.

 

But yeah, as you say, back to your regularly scheduled broadcast and seeing if anyone wants to bite. They don't seem to turn up as much as they used that's for sure...

Good for you Daytona! Me three... I didn't need to think about buying it either. I have enough problems with my domestic collecting. I really try to resist Japanese stuff... it would be one thing if I could actually READ Japanese.
