I just got a Jaguar . . . . again

Hey Guys,

 

I just bought another Jaguar, I have not owned one for a very very long time. I had gotten one back in 1996 ~ 1997 used from my parents. My brother that year had gotten an N64, however I wanted a Jaguar and my parents were able to find me one extremely cheap (I think it was a display unit). I loved the system, I absolutely loved it, only ever had like 5 games for it but they were great (Cybermorph, Tempest, Doom, Wolfenstien and Rayman).

 

However fast forward to 2003, I was going to college, and I bringing the Jaguar with me. I filled up on gas, went out to my car and my Jag had been stolen out of my car (stupid Jetta was easy as crap to break into). . . . I never saw it again.

 

In 2005 I tried to buy another Jaguar off of ebay, I got it for a good price, however it never showed up. Eventually I got my money back from paypal but I was upset. Its was and still to this day is my favorite console.

 

Well I got one tonight from The.Golden.Axe because the price was right and he was wonderful feedback.

 

I have wanted a Jaguar again for a longtime. Hahahah my brother and I use to argue which system was better, the N64 for the Jaguar . . . I never got into the N64. I guess I have always been an American console fan.

 

Anyways I'm so excited to be getting it, I have not played a Jaguar in well . . . 6 years, but I am so looking forward to it again!!!

Congratulations on getting another Jaguar! - They are great systems and it's my favorite Atari(and console)too. The other Atari's are more popular but the Jag can be very fun if it's given a chance. I think the controllers are quite comfortable for extended playtime. There are some nice games to get for it also. It is more expensive to get stuff for it though. Definitely the most powerful Atari ever made, and although I grew up with a 2600 like everybody else, the Jag is special to me. Enjoy!

Yeah I was really upset, everyone seemed to hate the controller, but I loved it . . . . especially compared to the *&$#*((* N64 controller . . . and yet it was somehow popular, I will never understand it.

Yeah they do I am so looking forward to getting it. I loved that console, to me that was the last of what I called "Video Home Arcade Machines" if you know what I mean .

I agree with about the NES, SNES, and PSX Controllers being too small. I loved the feel of the Jaguar controllers, its just felt natural to me!!!

HAHHAA yes, I also just got Pitfall Mayan Adventure and NBA Jam Tournament Edition. NBA Jam/Hangtime is my absolutely favorite baseketball series, 2 on 2 and with all the wackey moves and dunks . . . a true arcade basketball games . Hopefully will getting two more titles here in a little bit.

Yeah I just got Pitfall and NBA Jam Tournament for really cheap . Not bad considering NBA Jam is a Rarity 6 and Pitfall a Rarity 4 and I got them both for under 15 bucks minus shipping!!!

You gotta have patience to strike when you find a good price for the JagCD. There was one being sold yesterday here on AA in a marketplace thread by a guy who hasn't used his in 5 years- I thought you got it but it must have went to another guy.

hey thanks for the list I will keep my out for those games!! Here are the games I am currently looking for

at the moment:

 

Rayman (I had this with my original system and to get another copy badly)

Raiden - it's an easy enough find not that worried about it

Tempest 2K another classic that is difficult to find

Break 2k - I think I am going to need a whole lot of luck for this one

Soccer Kid - This one I just need to do a little saving for it's expensive

Super Burnout

Power World Rally

 

I would love to get another copy if Rayman it's a wonderful game. I am waiting to hear back from some people so I might be getting it I'm not sure I do

have hope though.

Well I scored a good lot this morning at what I feel might have been a wonderful deal, I got Rayman, Tempest 2k and another Jaguar Control all from one person. I can't tell you how happy I am that I got another copy of Rayman, I love that game, I know its a bit childish but its fun, that is why I play video games . Also its nice to have 2 Controllers now as well.

I'm telling you, you will absolutely love Iron Soldier! If you like platformers, you'll also love Zool 2, IS and Zool 2 are two of my all time favorite games, not just for the Jaguar. Zool 2 has a control scheme you have to learn but once you do, the game is so awesome. It's much faster than Rayman and the game play is different but it is one of the Jaguars most solid titles. And at $4.99 Iron Soldier is a steal. It is perfect in every way for the Jaguar. It has awesome graphics, very fun game play, and is rewarding to play, especially when you unlock all of the weapons. You should concentrate on getting Iron Soldier and Zool 2 if you want to get some more awesome and fun games, and they're cheap! You probably will not find Iron Soldier brand new for $4.99 anywhere else again, its usually $20, just to let you know. I'd get it now!

Ok how pathetic is this, I found the new Iron Soldier on eBay for like 5 bucks, but I ended up getting a used copy because with the price and shipping it ended up being like 4 bucks cheaper . . . I was like why get a new copy when I can get a perfectly good used copy and save 4 bucks!!! So yeah add Iron Soldier to my list!!!
