chriswhit #1 Posted September 29, 2009 (edited) I'm wondering if it is possible to play rom games on my 2600 console that are on my computer with the Starpath sc if so am I limited to certain ones. If so how do I do it. I just got this unit and haven't used it much. If not do you have any Ideas on how I can do this? I'm probably getting a Harmony cart but wouldn't mind playing some of these while I wait. I don't have an emulator and like playing on consoles. Any info on this or the sc would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Edited September 29, 2009 by chriswhit

EricDeLee #4 Posted September 30, 2009 You know... I bought a modded one a long time ago... but was freaking dumb and could not figure out really how to use it. So I sold it. Now... I don't even have a Super Charger.
shadow460 #5 Posted September 30, 2009 There's a way to do it with off the shelf components from Radio Shack. I'll dig the thread up in the Hardware forum. I think it takes about an hour depending on whether or not you bother pulling the label off first or just go through it with a screwdriver. You are limited to the 6K of RAM in the unit if you do this. Since there are no 6K ROM games, the effective limit is 4K. That means older games for the most part. shadow460 #7 Posted September 30, 2009 (edited) Link to a mod that doesn't require the IC. All you gotta do is run down to Radio shack and get a few resistors, a couple diodes, a switch, and some wire. You can also get a jack if you want to do the audio hack. No waiting for parts to arrive in the mail! Almost forgot, there are several mods in that thread. Mine's about halfway down the first page. EDIT 2: You'll need a program called wplaybin to "play" the bin files into the supercharger. This is on Bob Colbert's page, I think. Works with his mod and mine both, and it should work with the hacked files that Wickeycolumbus linked to. My buddy White Wolf found this program that works great. http://schells.com/cuttlecart.shtml
