Holy smokes! Huge Score!

Recommended Posts

I had just started hunting for a Famicom or Super Famicom after having a dream that I found one at the Taylor Trade Center. I have always wanted one, but never bothered looking because of how much I have seen them go for in the past.. but I started searching online for places I could get one. The best total price I could find was an unboxed FC, FC Disk System, and Super Famicom with no hookups for $220 EMS shipping from Japan.

Well I decided not to buy it, and good thing. I went to the Taylor Trade Center and a vendor had a boxed Famicom with all manuals, hookups, the Disk System, a Super Famicom, Super 8 console adapter, and one game for each system for $175.

I left there feeling like a little kid on Christmas, and sorta like I was in the Twilight Zone.

That's a really good find you have there. I've been after one of those super 8 adapters for a while now but here

in the UK, they go for stupid money.

Have fun!

It's always a good feeling to find a system like that and pay a fraction of what it's worth. I've had that happen to me before, probably more than once.

Holy mother of god...

I think i just crapped myself...

Need some Charmin?

Very nice score, esp. the disk system! I love Super Fami stuff, I scored a big collection of it from a Japanese girl I used to work with, its just somehow so much cooler looking than the SNES stuff.

The Super 8 is an adapter that was made for the SNES (which the part that plugs in is shaped more like a SFC cart oddly enough) and allows you to play NES, Famicom, Super Famicom, and SNES games on your console.

My only complaint about it, is the Famicom cartridge port is just a hair too deep to plug in the ram cart to use the FC Disk System.
