DeathAdderSF
October 24, 2009 This is it: endgame. We've worked on Zaku for six long years, putting as much of our heart and soul into the product as we could - and then, we snuck back around and added in some more. The skillful, talented folks at PenguiNet and the quality focused, get things done attitude of Super Fighter Team came together to produce a labor of love for the Atari Lynx: a system we admire and wished to celebrate the power of. Zaku is here. $40.00 + shipping and handling. Orders proudly accepted from anywhere in the world. This is the new, fun game that every Lynx owner will enjoy. Your interest and support are greatly appreciated. We wouldn't have made it this far without them. Now together, let's show the world what the Atari Lynx is capable of. http://www.zaku-lynx.com/ Never let dreams die! Jess Ragan
Been waiting a while for this one, but I'm glad it's finished. I think I actually have a Lynx lying around somewhere... maybe it's time to dust off the cobwebs and bring it back to life.
EricDeLee
I was just logging in to spread the news! I'm VERY excited about this release! Are we possibly going to see this before Christmas?? Perhaps you can speak with Al about the person who did the labels and stuff for Dungeon being that they are of such great quality.
DeathAdderSF
You'll all be happy to know that the game will be released this year, and that the manufacturing details are being taken care of by our factory. You can expect the same high quality production values as we've demonstrated with our previous commercial releases.

I have my binders set to Atari 2600 and Atari Lynx right now... with a bit of PS3 sprinkled in for good measures. LOL Good to hear it will be out this year. I know Bioshock was delayed... so this will have to take its place for now! The video was very nice. I really liked some of the bosses and enemies in the game. The flying toaster is funny. The underwater world reminds me of that episode where Spongebob and Patrick "Go Hooking". And then the jellyfish episodes. I can't wait! I will officially need to add this to the Lynx cart list now, being that it is going to get released!
DeathAdderSF
Not too familiar with your other releases... Our previous commercial releases include the role-playing adventure games Beggar Prince and Legend of Wukong, both for the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive. The video was very nice. I really liked some of the bosses and enemies in the game. Thank-you. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and are looking forward to the game's release.

EricDeLee
# Huge 4-megabit game cartridge! How big is that? Is that over the 512K? I have heard rumors that it is possible to have a bigger than 512k game... is that possible?

Jess Ragan
# Huge 4-megabit game cartridge! How big is that? Is that over the 512K? I have heard rumors that it is possible to have a bigger than 512k game... is that possible? Pretty sure that's exactly 512K. It's kind of amusing to call it "huge" when DS games can be up to 1024 megabits and GameBoy Advance games top out at 256 megabits. Still, I suppose that's pretty big for a Lynx game. This looks like a really nice Air Zonk-style shooter too, with a touch of the endearing Japanese art design that wasn't at all common on that system. So, how much will this cost? Nimtene
4 megabit = 512 kilobyte It's definitely possible to make larger lynx cart sizes. Or through compression, extra data can be added to standard cart sizes. For example, Alpine Games was also a 512 KB cart, but had over 2 MBytes of data when unpacked. Very much looking forward to buying Zaku.

Horst
I've been waiting for this for a very long time. I will buy one as long as its less than 100 bucks. Yes it is possible for Lynx carts to exceed 512k although the only one I can think of that does is Alpine Games.
nonner242
I also have been waiting for this game...THE VIDEO ROCKS! The SFT always has done quality work on their releases ...I WILL PICK ONE UP THE DAY YOU SELL!
TailChao
I have heard rumors that it is possible to have a bigger than 512k game... is that possible? It is very feasible to get a 2MB game with no banking hardware on the cartridge. Anything larger would require banking. Yep, the game is 512KB. Nothing huge by today's standards either, but Lynx games are simple (Atari was also cheap) in comparison and you really only need so much data. Plus the hardware assists you in keeping the size of things such as graphic data very compact. But for what it's worth, a game could be 4KB for all I care, it's what you get out of the space that counts. As for the cost of the game, it will be announced when the product is ready to ship.

EricDeLee
CC: I've been thinking about grabbing a Genesis again (possibly a nomad) for a few games (like shadowrun....) Perhaps I should grab it. Are there any reviews out there for it?
