Good find after a long dry spell.....

Recommended Posts

Had that "twitch" we all get when we are near some games (same feeling as being hungry for me!) and what do you know? I hit the local thrift and got 74 games, 4 joysticks and a set of paddles. Not only that, but one of the games was Subterranea. Nice find by itself, but better to get 73 other games. So far, Pitfall is the only duplicate, and its the only Crackpots I have ever found in the wild. Man do I wish these were all boxed.

Other highlights:

Snoopy and the Red Baron

6 other Imagic games (4 I did not have)

Gopher

about 40 good labeled Atari carts (I need these for my gameroom bar project, not one will be harmed; just sealed under glass for a while!)

Now comes the bad part, had to pay 50 bucks for the box. 56 to be exact. Not cheap, but I was just happy not to get a box of Combats!

Just thought I would share.

In Woodbridge, right in your neck of the woods! I was down at Boomers Amusements (in Dale City? Not sure what that part of town is called), and I asked where the nearest thrift was. It was a good find, but I really think Woodbridge is full of games anyway. People started moving down there abouth the same time the system was just going out in stores, and I have found about 10 there in the past year.

HTH,
