chriswhit #1 Posted October 7, 2009 My 500 xj controller works good on my 2600 and I was wondering if it could be converted with a 7800 wire and resisters to work on the 7800?

Of course, just take the cord from a 7800 controller, while you're at it, take the resistors too.

Of course, just take the cord from a 7800 controller, while you're at it, take the resistors too. I did this with a Sega Master System Xj500. It's my current favorite 7800 Joystick. jaybird3rd #6 Posted October 8, 2009 I did this with a Sega Master System Xj500. It's my current favorite 7800 Joystick. I did the same modification. The switch on the side of the 500XJ (rapid fire, I think?) doesn't work, but otherwise it's a perfectly good 7800 controller. I still prefer my modified RSI controllers, though.
