Copying from H: to D:

I am looking for a FAST easy way to copy a bunch of files from a PC dir to an A8 SpartaDOS folder. Obviously I can do them 1 at a time, but I need something faster. The H: device in A800winplus 3.1 doesn't support a wildcard copy from H: to D: so that is out.

 

Any ideas out there?

Make your ATR on the pc mount as Drive 2, copy D2:*.* folder>*.*

 

other ATR managing programs for the PC are:

MakeATR v0.06 supports Spartados directories.

AtrUtil 1.3 Ken Siders 'sp'

 

Some others that I don't use often and can't remember names.

 

Just make your ATR on the PC and mount as a drive on the emulator.

Sounds perfect for APE's PC Mirror (registered Version only, though). Set the PC Mirror for your PC directory and D: as the target drive directory. I've done this many times with MyDos, but not Sparta. But I still think it would work fine.

In my case, ©opy D4:*.*,*.* It hauls away...

Yep, I figured that out after I left the message - Ape PCMirror worked perfectly!

 

I need to take a look at ATR Util though...

I remember that program - I had it on an old machine but I lost track of it.

I know I've said this before, but The Last Word running under SpartaDOS X lets you catalogue any H: drive you want, tag and batch copy files, traverse the folder structure, you name it. When developing on the PC, I just boot the emulator, load up LW, go to the disk menu, and copy everything I want from H: to D:. I know it's not a stand-alone file manager, but it's very powerful nonetheless.

Don't you mean version 1.13 and it still doesn't do Sparta disks. 'sp'?
