+bf2k+ #1 Posted October 10, 2009 I am looking for a FAST easy way to copy a bunch of files from a PC dir to an A8 SpartaDOS folder. Obviously I can do them 1 at a time, but I need something faster. The H: device in A800winplus 3.1 doesn't support a wildcard copy from H: to D: so that is out. Any ideas out there?

Since you are using an emulator. Try reading this thread: http://www.atariage....1entry1793830 Post #4 Make your ATR on the pc mount as Drive 2, copy D2:*.* folder>*.* other ATR managing programs for the PC are: MakeATR v0.06 supports Spartados directories. http://makeatr.prv.pl/ look for file at bottom of webpage. AtrUtil 1.3 Ken Siders 'sp' Some others that I don't use often and can't remember names. Just make your ATR on the PC and mount as a drive on the emulator. +Larry #3 Posted October 10, 2009 Sounds perfect for APE's PC Mirror (registered Version only, though). Set the PC Mirror for your PC directory and D: as the target drive directory. I've done this many times with MyDos, but not Sparta. But I still think it would work fine. In my case, ©opy D4:*.*,*.* It hauls away... -Larry I am looking for a FAST easy way to copy a bunch of files from a PC dir to an A8 SpartaDOS folder. Synthpopalooza #5 Posted October 12, 2009 Here's what I use to copy between hard drive and atr's: http://raster.infos.cz/atari/forpc/atadim.htm ATADIM ... it is a very handy little program too.

I remember that program - I had it on an old machine but I lost track of it.
flashjazzcat #7 Posted October 12, 2009 I know I've said this before, but The Last Word running under SpartaDOS X lets you catalogue any H: drive you want, tag and batch copy files, traverse the folder structure, you name it. When developing on the PC, I just boot the emulator, load up LW, go to the disk menu, and copy everything I want from H: to D:. I know it's not a stand-alone file manager, but it's very powerful nonetheless.
1050 #8 Posted October 14, 2009 AtrUtil 1.3 Ken Siders 'sp' Don't you mean version 1.13 and it still doesn't do Sparta disks. 'sp'? http://atari.kensclassics.org/a8emulators.html Here's what I use to copy between hard drive and atr's: http://raster.infos.cz/atari/forpc/atadim.htm ATADIM ... it is a very handy little program too. For me, Winzip says the executable is corrupt and won't give it to me. What is anybody else using to get Atadim.exe downloaded? TIA.
flashjazzcat #9 Posted October 14, 2009 Works fine for me. Here's a re-zipped version: atadi305.zip
