WestofHouse
I saw on Kotaku that EA is giving away a few games over that Sony anniversary that's going on. They're only free for the weekend apparently, one for each system. Thanks for the tip! I can confirm that the full game download appears to be available for non-PS+ subscribers. I let me subscription lapse last week and I'm able to download the game. I hope it works when I play it. Heh.

Mord
I also noticed that Fat Princess was apparently free. I think it's the vita version. It should show up in either spotlight or the sale, that's how I noticed it anyway. I've got a couple dollars left on my account right now so I might pick up the Soul Reaver game on PS1. I own it on Dreamcast, but iirc the PS1 version is done differently. More like the original Blood Omen game - 2d instead of 3d. Would be interesting to try out, although a part of me is starting to want to play through Soul Reaver 1 and 2 again...

Mord
The original 2D Blood Omen is my favorite of the whole series. I wish they would do another one like it. I've been waiting for a remake or something like a sequel done in that style. I never played the later games like Defiance or Blood Omen 2. I liked playing the entire series so far up to the end of Defiance. They kept changing the way Raziel's soul reaver worked however which I can't say I was too happy about. The only game left for me to play is Blood Omen 2, and I've been holding off on playing it since my friend who got me into the series wasn't too happy with it himself. It's apparently a remake of Blood Omen of sorts. Although they certainly change plenty around. I suppose I really should give that one a try even if it doesn't further the plot from Defiance.

I already have both <_< but I'm waiting to see if they put the digital version on sale on PSN later this year. I think the last time they put it on sale for 14.99 it was during their Golden Week sale.
cimerians
I suck at that game and I wish I didn't. Its very fun but I'm all thumbs when I play and cant beat a lot of boards.
Mord
If it makes any difference, it's balanced differently from the first game. The Normal is a bit harder, but the Hard isn't a big jump up from Normal. Meaning if you can get Normal down, it shouldn't be too hard to at least complete the songs in Hard. Extreme is still a mindf*ck though.

cimerians
SNK sale: https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-us/snk-sale/cid=STORE-MSF77008-SNKSALE I'm not the biggest SNK fan but I like Samurai Showdown, Metal Slug and a few other titles. Anything worth getting? I do have Vanguard, Marvins Maze and some of the old arcade games already.
boog
The compilations are good for casual fans. I think the Wii versions are supposed to be better though? The PS3 port of Metal Slug 2 includes an 'overclock' option to reduce the slowdown. Improves the biggest fault in one of the best Metal Slug games. I think PS3 is the only version with that feature. Neo Geo Heroes Ultimate Shooting is a decent PSP shmup at the $10 sale price. Sort of generic, but enough fun at $10. It also includes the earlier KOF Sky Stage game from XBLA. Also, a few of those early arcade game minis aren't included on the SNK Arcade Classics 0 release for PSP, so I'll probably buy the 'missing' games while they're cheap. Mord
I'll probably go pick up a 20 dollar card to buy a couple of things tomorrow. Might as well get Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate at that price since I accidentally bought one of the pieces of DLC for it a while back thinking it'd work on DOA5. But nope. Still won't be buying the vast vast majority of DLC for that game, the "ultimate" refers to the DLC itself. >_> Maybe I'll pad the rest of it with Vandal Hearts and then take another look at the DLC on Project Diva 2nd to see if there's anything in particular I'd like to add. Most of it's been pretty blah to be honest.
Mord
Guess I ended up on a fighting game splurge instead. Got DOA5 Ultimate as planned, but got Arcana Hearts 3 instead of Vandal Hearts. They also have Street Fighter Alpha 1, 2, and 3 each for $1.20, so I picked up SFA2. I already have SFA3 on the PS1. But jesus the PSN store is the most broken piece of software I've seen in a long time (That I'm forced to interact with anyway ) I got kicked out/crashed the ps3 about 5-6 times making the above order. That's even worse than normal - half of the crashes were in the main display for the flash sale.
cimerians
Any opinions on Arcana Hearts? Its in my shopping kart but I haven't pulled the trigger.... Yeah the store on the console is awful on PS4 and PC its fast and much better. I usually get stuff though PC and then it gives you the option to download to all your consoles. I'm getting better at Project Dive F.... been playing it lately only on easy and getting better at it.
Mord
Arcana Hearts isn't the most intense of fighting games. The series tends to have all girl anime-styled casts, and it's the same for this one. I just played it a bit in non-story mode to get an idea of the controls. Was fairly easy to win fights just by mashing buttons. I'm sure it'd be more fun to know what the heck triggers all the supers and whatnot. ^^ I suppose Aqua Pazza(sp) is a similar styled game, but in terms of animation and quality Arcana Hearts falls behind. I wouldn't have bought it at full price. At 6 dollars I it was more of a spontaneous purchase since I had the first game on PS2 so long ago. I'll probably end up playing DOA5 Ultimate more often all the same. I've been getting better at Project Diva F 2nd as well. Got a perfect on a couple of Hard mode songs finally. Namely Two Breaths Walking and Close & Open, Demons and the Dead.
Mord
Also don't buy Mikudayo. Waste of money imo. ^^
Gabriel
Any opinions on Arcana Hearts? Its in my shopping kart but I haven't pulled the trigger.... My opinion on Arcana Hearts is get anything else instead. Try Aquapazza. It's much better in every way. Mord: Isn't the Mikudayo that head piece thing you can buy in game for 393,000 DP? I downloaded it because it was part of the costume club, but I haven't seen it on my module lists. I hardly ever go into the parts customization, though. I've picked up Metal Slug X and Shock Troopers as part of the regular SNK sale going this week. I'm thinking about Geometry Wars, Tekken Tag 2, and Vandal Hearts. I'm probably going to skip Dynasty Warriors 8 XL because I still haven't done everything in DW8, and have Warriors Orochi 3 and Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn to grind through.
