Phoenix the fall and rise of video games 3rd edition

I'm working on it and it should be done soon. I'm working on a Kindle version but will explore other formats. I still don't know if it will work because the size of the file may be too large for a Kindle to handle.

I only know about this from the consumer POV, but I've bought plenty of ebooks that were best on tablet devices, not e-ink. Sounds like your work might be one of those. Not a deal-breaker for me, for what that's worth.

The 4th edition came out in Oct 2016. It's a massive 800 or so pages. IMHO the most encompassing word on Home Video Game History. Amazing that near double the history has occurred since I first read the 1997 edition back in the day. The 70's and 80's material has been rewritten [and corrected where needed] so it's all fresh and about as accurate as is possible given the scope.

Folks this is history book in effect, while excellent and highly interesting it is not light fun reading.

The Color Edition is out since July. While it's a bit pricey it's also is a Hardcover and includes a new 2016 chapter which is rather long. My guess is the print run of this edition was tiny. Still it costs less than a pedestrian dinner at a mediocre restaurant [not fast food] for three. For those like me that are classic video game "historians" this is a must have on the shelf. Don't regret not getting it in the near future when the only copies available are from price gouging Amazon sellers.

It's a very heavy book but can be had at Barnes&Noble and Amazon with free shipping.

Leonard @Rolenta , if you see this post; I don't do kindle for many reasons but I will gladly pay for a copy in ePub, mobi or PDF format.

Too bad the Kindle version isn't in color (unless I overlooked something).

Scratch that, I was looking at the wrong link. The Kindle version does appear to be in color.

Truthfully, I don't know if the Kindle edition is in color or not. The file sent was in color, but I have an old monochrome Kindle so there's no way for me to find out. Personally, I'm not a fan of ebooks.

Which leads me to other ebook formats. Since I don't read ebooks, I'm not familiar with the different formats. Kindle was easy because Amazon did all the work. Someone sent me information on other formats several months ago but I was too busy to look into it at the time. I guess I should revisit that post.

I think that was me. It's worth chasing e-book buyers -- at least from my perspective -- as I'm personally done with print books. ;-)

I believe it was you also. I think it was in a PM which I can't get to from the phone. I'll check the next time I'm on a computer
