Now it's my duty to squash it. If you ask any of the programmers here, they will say that the 2600 is the absolute worst thing you could start to prgoram on. They would probably reccomend that you start on an easier system like the 5200. Now, that having been said, if you haven't done any programming at all, the native language of the 2600 is assembly. 6502 assembly to be more precise. Even on an easier system like the 5200, it's still complex. Best to teach yourself some BASIC or some such first so you 'get your feet wet' so to speak, then move on... It is at this point I leave this over to the resident programmers here, as they would be better to tell you what you're up against on here. From some of thier stories, it ain't pretty...
