andym00 #1 Posted October 26, 2009 (edited) Needing to raise cash having just relocated back to England, and I've shed a load of old hardware, and the one that breaks my heart, but has to go, is the Cuttle Cart 2..I just don't know what kind of price I should be looking at for this.. I know it's a loaded question, but any rough guidelines for this ? I can't find any previous Ebay auctions to go by, so I figured I'd ask here..Anyone have any idea of a ballpark figure I should be looking for ? darthkur #2 Posted October 28, 2009 They have been known to go for anywhere between $300 - $400, or more, but with the new Harmony Cart I going to venture a guess that those prices will no longer be realized.
mimo #3 Posted October 29, 2009 $300 to $400 has been the prices realized in the marketplace here recently, anyones guess on ebay, it may even get pulled by the auction police There was someone looking to buy here
andym00 #4 Posted October 29, 2009 I was aware of the prices they'd gone for in the past, and I was curious how Harmony would affect in that regard.. None the less, looks like it'll be eBay bound tomorrow.. Stupid question.. I hardly use eBay anymore, in fact I've never sold anything on there before only purchased stuff, but why would they pull it ?
the.golden.ax #5 Posted October 29, 2009 Harmony won't do 7800 will it? AX

Chickybaby #7 Posted October 29, 2009 Why not put it on game gavel? Less fees too besides not worrying about it getting pulled.

They could possibly pull it because of copyright policy, this is more likely to happen with a flashed 360 though. I'm not convinced that prices will be affected too much by the release of the Harmony cart, there have been other multicarts recently (kroc cart for one) and that didn't seem to effect values. I for one use mine pretty much only for 7800 games, especially the lovely homebrews that are available. Anyway, good luck with your sale

Maybe I should I haven't been paying much attention to auction places over the last 5 years or so, simply because it was a habit I was trying to knock on the head
dragos #10 Posted October 29, 2009 Its stupid that there are such a limited amount of cc2. For me the harmony has killed the cc2, I have all the 7800 games, so I really don't need 7800 compat that much. The harmony is also priced significantly lower than the CC2 was even at launch. The "rarity" is artificial.....

Apples and oranges my friend. The CC2 obviously didn't spike in price until they were no longer available from Schells. The Krok Cart went on sale over 2 years before the CC2 sold out, so that was a total non factor. Not to mention that the Harmony is a superior product to the Krok. I am sure several people only got a CC2 as way to play tons of different 2600 games. Those people could be persuaded to sell CC2s now and the prices could very well be affected.
