jeremysart #1 Posted October 27, 2009 I have been thinking about this for a while. There are quite a few of us Classic Gaming Enthusiasts here in the Detroit area, and other parts of Michigan and upper Ohio that would love a CG Con within drivable distance, and it is totally possible. In Taylor Michigan, off of Ecorse Rd, there is the Taylor Trade Center. In the past two years, it has sprung up an enormous well off game vendors, all of which I have bought some pretty interesting stuff from. I bet in any case, it would be very possible to hold a CG Con at the Taylor Trade Center. They always have things like Computer Shows, Gun & Knife Shows & Cage Fighting.. why not Classic Gaming Convention? I mean after all, the three vendors alone I buy from pretty much hold the place together. There is plenty of open space and tables for big enthusiasts to bring their vintage retro goodies to display and/or trade/sell. It would bring everyone business that participated. What do you think? RickO2 #2 Posted October 27, 2009 I would be interested as a spectator/buyer. I don't have anything to sell. I'm sure it would draw people from the west side fo the state (like me) as well. The only other con I have been to is in Wisconsin.
Tempest #3 Posted October 27, 2009 I'd be interested in attending and maybe selling, but I don't have the time to organize anything. Tempest

tugboat450 #5 Posted October 27, 2009 I don't have much to sell, but I would definitely go to buy. I know a couple of friends who would be interested too.
aftermac #6 Posted October 27, 2009 I don't really have anything to sell, but it sounds like a great idea. I've been to Taylor Town Trade Center many times myself and bought may things from all those same vendors. I had to quit going regularly a while back because I find too many things "I can't live without".

jeremysart #8 Posted October 28, 2009 I'd be interested in attending and maybe selling, but I don't have the time to organize anything. Tempest Glad to hear you'd be interested. Im going to talk to some people, and see what we cant get rolling. Surely you might have some interesting stuff to show off? Stoneage, I didnt realize you were from MI too, thats great! I don't have much to sell, but I would definitely go to buy. I know a couple of friends who would be interested too. Glad to hear a lot of interest, especially cool that some out-of-staters may be willing to drive out as well. I'll see what strings I can pull, and see if I cant get some help from the vendors in organizing an event. When the time comes, I'll design some nice fliers to print and pass. I know quite a few folk that would be interested.
