MattG/Snyper2099 #1 Posted October 21, 2002 Today I thought I would see if there was anything worth buying at the thrift store close to my house. Well, prolly my best find to date so far, today I purchased an Asteroids upright in very good shape for $100. Yeah me! :-)
oesii #2 Posted October 21, 2002 That's a pretty cool find, I've been going to a few Goodwills this week and with my pickup truck I would be tempted to just throw something like that in the back The big trick would be explaining it to the wife

Witchfynde #6 Posted October 22, 2002 Yeah it's always cool when you run into that kind of thing at a thrift/resale shop. There's a place not far from where I live where they have all tons of crapola you can imagine, and the very first time I went there they had several arcade games: a rare one called Space Firebird, the Atari Football coin-op (the black and white one with trackballs and x's and o's as players) and one that I couldn't even tell what it was; it had the Sega label on it, but there were no markings that I could see as far as what the game title was. Whenever I go there there's always at least ONE video game thing here and there: the last time I went there (several months ago) was a copy of Shaq-Fu for the Genesis, and out of several rooms of stuff crammed and spilling out everywhere, on a table in one room were two old Electric Games (Gaming? I can never remember) mags in excellent condition, which I read the reviews, and one of them reviewed Starflight for the Genesis, which I have, as well as several others I had played. They had all these ads of games I had played and were talking about the "new" Sega CD, games for the Atari Lynx and all. Even though I didn't buy it it (there was nothing in there that made me decide that I HAD to have it, you know?) was cool to take a trip down memory lane, especially since it was preserved so well.
