Yurkie #1 Posted November 6, 2009 I have been wanting to make a custom controller with face mounted buttons for several months and over the last weekend I completed a really nice one. I decided to go all out and make a custom underlay and use the straight cord and the ball knob from a Super Action Controller and put all 4 super action buttons on the face. I had to build a circuit to add the 2 extra buttons. This controller makes game play a dream. I am offering to make these for people. Here is the conditions. Payment of $60 via Paypal, and you send me a Super Action Controller and a black standard controller to use for parts. I am only going to except orders for 2 people at a time. Send me an IM if you want on the waiting list for one. The $60 is payment in full including the cost of me shipping it to you. It will be around 2 weeks from the time I receive your controllers and the time I ship your finished controller to you. Super Action Controller can be broken and not working but cord and joystick must be in great shape. Please pay close attention to the condition of the standard controller you send, this will be the exact same controller housing that I use to build your custom controller for you. Here is a picture. Yurkie #4 Posted November 6, 2009 (edited) I' d love to have this joystick. Unfortunaly i don't have spare super action controller. I have just one working pair. Very nice work. I have 2 spare super action controllers and 2 spare standard controllers if someone is willing to pay an extra ($20 sac) and/or ($15 standard controller) I will use these. I was trying to keep the cost down for people by excepting donors. The original side buttons are no longer functional, they are dyed black and glued in place. I have been having a blast playing Rocky,Spy Hunter and Frontline. I always hated using the SAC personally. Edited November 6, 2009 by Yurkie

retroillucid #6 Posted November 20, 2009 What!? No spinner!? Just teasing-- look very cool! Would it be possible to add a spinner? Really nice works Yurkie! ... as usual
Yurkie #7 Posted November 21, 2009 What!? No spinner!? Just teasing-- look very cool! Would it be possible to add a spinner? Really nice works Yurkie! ... as usual I think it would be possible, but this would have to be a commission job. I would have to require a $20 non-refundable fee for R&D, this would be 100% applied to final price. I would do this if possible for $100 leaving both fire button in place and a complete 100% rebuild. Over and above the $100 buyer would have to supply a SAC and pay actual shipping. I will say this, there are several revisions to the controller pcb and I have seen the place on some revisions for the addition of the spinner. I would use the spinner and part of the SAC spinner mount to put a spinner in place on a standard controller. If someone wanted the 4 SAC buttons also, that would increase the cost, and due to available space the buttons would have to be mounted differently. I am always open to ideas and commission work. Anyone interest please feel free to message me anytime.
