JeffVav #1 Posted November 8, 2009 (edited) Hi everyone, thought you might be interested to know that Atari's got six classic games on their revamped web site: Asteroids, Battlezone, Crystal Castles, Lunar Lander, and the Atari 2600 Adventure and Yars' Revenge. All emulated, too! Plus online score boards. Just needs Flash 10. The games can be found here: Atari Video Games. mos6507 #2 Posted November 9, 2009 (edited) In the past this stuff would have required Shockwave and a compiled Xtra like the old Midway games that Digital Eclipse did, or Java applets like the old games.com site. Flash has come a LONG way to be able to pull these off so well. If Flash can't run compiled binaries then these are technically ports, though. Here is the link describing the technology. However it's being done, it's impressive. Edited November 9, 2009 by mos6507

Mingy Jongo #5 Posted November 30, 2009 I really like the job whoever did the ports did. Great emulation, awesome scoreboard (or in Adventure's case, timeboard) integration, and even small details are recreated (like how the player 1 and 2 buttons light up on Asteroids and Crystal Castles). Bravo!

Only problem I'm aware of is that the resume feature can freeze due to certain ad blockers.
