Well, I think I can post this without any problems at this point.

When I saw the post that No Quarter was ending, I posted in his FB group that I'd be happy to take over as co-host, as I love the podcast and classic arcade games, it was one of the first retro gaming podcasts I was listening to, and after over a year I felt I 'knew' Mike and how he operated and all that. Mike responded pubicaly as well that he would contact me -- this was all in the open for anyone to see, so I'm not divulging anything secret here. ;)

Also, Flak indicated (and Mike confirmed) in his most recent YDKF podcast that it was just a problem of time -- Mike is more available on the weekends, where as Flak was more free during the weeknights. Again, this is all open so no problem there.

What WAS going on behind the scenes was that Mike and I did talk privately and we agreed to record a podcast together, covering the game they were going to cover, Metal Slug X. The podcast went well but Mike indicated to me recently that he decided a break was the best thing after all, that he might at some point re-start the podcast, and he'd let me know about hosting if/when that happened. I don't know if Mike plans to release the Metal Slug X episode....I'd like to, at the very least. I'm waiting to hear back from him on that.

Mike's a great guy and he has a passion for this kind of thing, but I totally understand the need for a break and I also understand him not wanting to do the podcast alone -- I never had wanted to do mine alone either. I don't think I'm stepping on any toes by saying this much publicly at this point -- as I said, most of this was in the FB group hinted at, but no one seemed to pick up on the hint. ;)

At least now we have Pie Factory to help to fill the gap. :)

NYP will be back to their regularly scheduled numbering scheme next episode. Now you can finally hear about our adventures at CORGScon 2015 along with special guests Willie and Rick. Plus we go back to the classic-era video game meta game that we played on CCR a couple years back.

CCR? Heh. Glad to see Retro Cards Against Humanity has returned.

Ferg, you must track down and watch the Young Ones. Funny stuff.

Also suggested to watch multiple times to get all the jokes they cram into per episode. You'll see a young Dr. House in one episode.

Anyone notice AtariAge's own Albert was interviewed on ANTIC about 3 weeks back? Full circle!

Unsubscribed from For Amusement Only. It got to be too much for my "fresh podcasts" playlist. The guy is the opposite of me, sometimes cranking out 1 episode per day.

And stay tuned for something from Shinto and also Wizards of the Odyssey 2!

Also, WOW that is a lot of new Pinball Podcasts!

Ya, Wizards of Odyssey 2 will be on the backburner for quite some time. I dont really have the time for it until some of the other projects being done wrap up. May try to get it off the ground when the Channel F Files finish up, but it will depend on my co-hosts schedule as well. I have considered making it a clip show where the "Wizards" are the listeners of the podcast submitting their thoughts and such on the topic for that months show. And/Or organizing a time for a roundtable that anyone can join in to discuss that episodes topic for the podcast (similar to Intarivisions Podcast roundtable format). Nurmix from the Intellivisionaries has been working on awesome show theme song as well!

Also, I need to invest more time in Arcade USA to grow that project. Colecovisions and Arcade USA keep me very busy with their numbers continue to grow. Also prepping for a panel for Colecovisions Podcast at Game On Expo in Mesa AZ is also taking some of my time, will be my first panel so I am a little nervous but my co-hosts SocalMike and Gamester81 are giving me words of encouragement and will be on the panel with me :) The CGE2K14 launch panel was easy for me (I did not have to talk, just sit there :P)

I am SUPER stoked to hear what Shinto does though! I really dig it when he submits segments to A2600GBG and other podcasts.
