S1500 #3426 Posted January 29, 2016 Even Libsyn - which I use and like - has choked on a big file when using their normal upload method (and we tend to have BIG files). These days I FTP the mp3, then attach it to the episode. No trouble that way. That's what I was considering using next. Hmm. FTP? If you want reliability, use Zmodem. It has file resume!
Dauber #3427 Posted January 29, 2016 Zmodem. Wow. When I was in college (1992 to 1996) I had to use Kermit to transfer from our Vax system do a floppy disk...and whenever the file was an Amiga .DMS file that wasn't autobooting, the resulting unDMSed file would *always* be corrupt! Glad to here Christian win for his great audio submission and Pie Factory was a great pick too. And I agree...that is one creepy robotic voice It'll be interesting to see what the next poddies hold. I think Willie would be a great host if he isn't too busy with his 20,000 other podcasts.

thevnaguy #3436 Posted February 5, 2016 Finally listened to it as well ya, think I am going to retire some crap. Yet again got best intro "as performed by" which pretty much tells me "hey cool music, but the cast is crap" Appreciated the 5200 Supercast getting a mention, which surprised me since I am involved with it maybe its a good thing, I can devote more time back to my Arcade USA Youtube channel and work on Gamester81's site more, at least he appreciates my work Pie Factory Podcast was a great pick for this year! two great guys talking about my favorite subject Arcade Games! Big congrats to Phil to for the best game by game podcast, Phil is such a great guy, very well deserved.

Yet again got best intro "as performed by" which pretty much tells me "hey cool music, but the cast is crap" Your cast isn't crap. Arkay & Captain Bob are great. All three of you bounce off of each other perfectly with a mix of humor & knowledge, as proven in the Star Raiders episode.
RJ #3438 Posted February 8, 2016 So No Quarter posted something (I forget what) to Facebook last week. I asked if we could get a new podcast episode soon, to which they answered affirmatively. But here we are...
Dauber #3439 Posted February 8, 2016 From what I understand, they're having equipment issues. Jeff was recently in touch with me and said a new episode would be happening soon.

RJ #3441 Posted February 9, 2016 (edited) For more Owen Rubin, he's a semi-semi-regular guest on (BION) Arcade Outsiders, as recently as a month back. They call him "Bro-wen Rubin" as an honorary title. Edited February 9, 2016 by RJ
S1500 #3442 Posted February 10, 2016 I noticed on Atari Bytes, the closing music is the same as it is for ImplantGames. Heck, I might have to sign up for a 3rd host on ColecoVisions. Why? I have three ColecoVisions & a Flashback. Yes. That's my resume.
RJ #3443 Posted February 10, 2016 I listened to No Quarter at work & all their talk about vector games got me jonesin to play when I gpt home. Asteroids, Asteroids Deluxe, Battlezone, Tempest, & a bit of Lunar Lander & Red Baron thrown in! Funny thing is, I forgot to play Space Duel...
S1500 #3444 Posted February 12, 2016 Listening to RetroGaming Roundup. Simon Butler explains how he got let go, reason being "nobody wants to work with you". I'm shocked, since he's such a bright ray of sunshine.
Dauber #3445 Posted February 12, 2016 Gotta say, I'm not a big fan of Space Duel. Just....I think too much going on for what it is. I actually prefer Asteroids Deluxe, and in fact, that's my favorite of the Asteroids lineage.
Inky #3447 Posted February 15, 2016 I love Space Duel. My favorite of the Asteroids lineage. Asteroids Deluxe would be my second favorite.

I got Earl Green confused with Earl Evans, who does retrocomputing podcasts.
