Human Wrecking Balls smash arcade games on G4

I just heard about this 'show.' I can't believe Human Wrecking Balls is a real TV show, but it's on G4, so I guess it doesn't really count. They are going to show what big boys they are and smash arcade games in an episode this season:

I don't watch any show on G4, but this makes me want to complain to the network or company who owns them.

G4 is such a joke anymore the shows i liked are gone now and its just not good TV to watch i wish TechTV was still on instead.

It sucks that they're doing this but atleast the custom motorcycle and tattoo-themed reality shows seem to be fading away..

I totally agree. I watched TechTV occasionally and then when it merged into G4-TechTV I think the tech programming was relegated to like 60 minutes of programming per day.

 

I was reading the Wiki for G4. Funny how they drew comparisons to Spike - remember when that was TNN? I didn't get that conversion at all - they had an audience with TNN and niche programming...

 

Then, of course, MTV. How many hours of music video programming are there per day? The last I saw they were in the 3 AM - 7 AM time slot.

 

When MTV came out, my sister and I would burn hours sitting in front of the tube and watch music videos. That was it - videos, VJs, interviews and concerts.

OK - they're going to destroy a classic arcade. That makes sense how? How many folks will get a boner about that?

 

It would be cool if there was a massive uprising by a united AtariAge, KLOV, Twin Galaxies et al petitioning against this sorta stuff.

G4TV used to be about video games of all kinds. Then they merged with Techtv and it all went downhill.

 

I'm suprised they're still around really.

Unfortunately, those non-functional cabinets can be restored either with NOS or modern parts.

 

I won't lose sleep over it, but it's ironic that a channel rooted in video games would turn around to destroy the hand that fed their existence.

 

But, "one man's trash is another man's treasure" or "it's great that they smash these things up because it raises the value of mine" all the while "keeping the sponsors happy."

 

The real crime will be if any Computer Space or Pong cabinets are destroyed.

Okay I just saw the show where they destroy the arcade. Can I just say WTF? You just destroyed perfectly good arcade games, and yes some of them were working, along with pinball machines, Foosball and others. It made me sick, SICK I say!!!!!

 

Any way we can keep them from destroying more of the same? They annihilated a Sega Virtua Racing game, the two seater, a Virtual On two seater, a bunch of other stand-ups including a Tekken 3. That's just wrong, WRONG!

Yes! They first split it in two pieces then smashed the pieces and absolutely demolished it from there. I was sick just watching it. Why destroy a working arcade game?! Idiots!

When I saw the perfect looking Scramble machine that they were going to destroy I changed the channel. I could'nt bear to watch that. That is one of my favorite games.

There was a Scramble machine in there? I didn't see that but if you did I think we need to start a campaign to stop this stupid destruction of Arcade machines. Again G4 is LAME! How can you do this to perfectly good Arcade games?
