Mirage Posted November 12, 2009 Share Posted November 12, 2009 I would assume that either Apple thought it could be a security issue (just being overly-cautious), or much more likely the fact that the C= BASIC is Copyright Microsoft. C= bought the use of it flat-out from MS (one-time fee), but it's still copyrighted software, and not by the emulator publisher unless they had an arrangement. I don't think BASIC was actually removed (some apps probably access subroutines stored in the ROM), just the trick to gain access to it was disabled. Apple has a thing about end-user access to interpreters - Java and Flash come to mind. While they've had some silly app store refusals, in this instance Apple did clearly specify ahead of time what wasn't acceptable. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Though if they make/made Arctic Shipwreck tilt-sensitive, that may be cool, but not cool enough for me to care without some better games.
