Video #54 Posted July 1, 2010 (edited) Aww, it's pink and yellow. That actually looks good on the 64 Love the little peach stencil. Maybe you could paint the control ports red and white, like maybe they'd look like stylized mushrooms or something? (though being not detachable would make it a bit harder to paint than other things, like switches) Edited July 1, 2010 by Video
Vic George 2K3 #55 Posted July 2, 2010 The pink-ified Nintendo 64 is not too Barbie enough.

tz101 #58 Posted July 3, 2010 The guy does nice work, but the truth is that anyone can do similar. I have done a NES and am in the works on another along with a SNES. All I use is plenty of fine grit sandpaper for prepping the surfaces, and then plastic grade spray paint on top of a good quality primer coat. I did a light gun and controllers to match my NES and it came out really nice. I ended up trading the system for an Intellivision and 40 game carts because I didn't need it. This thread as well as my FB page is there to inspire others as much as to create any income for myself. Realistically I would have to halve my existing costs to even think about selling off shore. Remember that I use bonding chemicals and a commercial spray booth when doing my work - I too experimented with primers and hand sprays but was never truly impressed. I thank all for their ongoing support of what I do and especially Vic for his honest reviews As I have said before - the consoles I do for myself are often received either not working or in extremely poor condition - I see what I do as breathing new life into what would normally become damaging land fill thanks again everyone! mattyg #61 Posted August 22, 2010 In an effort to revamp our decaying CBD an arts organisation has procured sites free of rent and refurbed them into urban art galleries and craft shops. Among hundreds of applications in the current round of offers yours truly has been chosen! both my coloured consoles and photographs of my collection will be on display and for sale in an urban gallery as soon as a site becomes available. A link to the organisation and to view updates on what's happening you can visit my FB page: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/Colour-your-Console-by-mattyg/125208394171209 Thanks for everyones ongoing support!

Check it out http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/167533-my-custom-modded-snes-consoles/ I did recently did a LOZ mod on an American SNES. I dont know why they chose such bland color scheme and boxy design for the US SNES consoles. Edited September 27, 2010 by jeremysart
