Types of PS3 controllers

Something like this:

You connect the GameCube controller to the adapter, then plug the adapter into a USB port. I can't guarantee that it will work with a Playstation 3, but past experience suggests that it might. I have a Sega Saturn controller designed for PCs that works fine with the PS3.

 

It's worth noting that you won't be able to access the cross media bar while using this controller. You'll also lose some minor functionality, since the GameCube has fewer buttons than a DualShock.

I personally didn't know these devices worked with the consoles themselves. I thought they were for connecting consoles controllers to your PC.
