ericwierson
Are there any PS3 controllers that are similiar to the standard Gamecube controller? I am having a heck of a time with my PS3 controller. I guess I am just too use to my G.C. controller Edited November 27, 2009 by ericwierson
Jess Ragan
A USB adapter is all I could recommend.
moycon
Similar to the standard Gamecube controller on a playstation ?!?! Since the N64, Nintendo has always had the craziest, off the wall controllers. I think you best just practice!!

Jess Ragan
Something like this: http://www.jandaman.com/games.mvc?p=pc3in1mjb&Category_code=GC You connect the GameCube controller to the adapter, then plug the adapter into a USB port. I can't guarantee that it will work with a Playstation 3, but past experience suggests that it might. I have a Sega Saturn controller designed for PCs that works fine with the PS3. It's worth noting that you won't be able to access the cross media bar while using this controller. You'll also lose some minor functionality, since the GameCube has fewer buttons than a DualShock. http://www.jandaman.com/games.mvc?p=triolinkerplus2&Category_code=GC There we go... this adapter claims to have support for the Playstation 3! If you buy it, let us know how well it works.

moycon
This site lists different adapters and has comments in regard to their experience with them... http://www.stepmania.com/wiki/GameCube_to_USB_Adapters I personally didn't know these devices worked with the consoles themselves. I thought they were for connecting consoles controllers to your PC. Edited November 27, 2009 by moycon
Atariboy
They are for hooking them up to a PC, but the PS3 has some limited compatibility with PC USB controllers so it's quite possible it will work.
