Source for DSDD floppy disks (USA)

Recommended Posts

I found a site that has DSDD floppy disks new in stock for reasonable prices.

http://www.oldsoftware.com

I believe they are based in the US. They also stock the old 5 1/4 disks for you Atari 8 bitters.

Oddly enough, I found a still sealed box of 5.25 disks in a thrift store. I bought 'em for my TI.

Hopefully, they are DD or SD. HDs don't work with SD/DD drives (same incompatibility as with 3.5" disks). I had a sealed pack of HD disks (I got two several hundred of "empty" 3.5" and 5.25" disks when I bought a large ST lot off eBay some years ago) and tried them in my Atari 1050, and was unable to read them. All the SD/DD disks still work fine, though.

I got a really good deal on 3.5" DSDD floppies on e-bait a bit ago.

However, I had to buy 500 of them to get that price. :)

That's OK that, I have the ST, the Amiga and the Mac's which can use them.

I don't have as many 5.25" floppies tho, so I'm still considering my options there..

Thanx for the link!
