tillenterprises
I have a Colecovision that just gives a blank screen and sometimes hums when turned on. I checked the usual suspects- RF connection, power supply, dirty on/off switch, and finally opened it up, and saw a sticker on the chip located at location U2, looks like it was serviced or the problem diagnosed at one time. Does anybody know what this chip is, or how I can get a new one? I might also try replacing the Z80 processor. Thanks for any help!
+save2600
Have you tried reseating all of the socketed chips yet?
tillenterprises
Have you tried reseating all of the socketed chips yet? All the chips are soldered in- I don't see any socketed chips. Is there any PCB diagram that states what each chip is for? By the way, I like your avatar!
tillenterprises
I'm pretty sure the problem lies with the BIOS chip at location U2. Does anybody know where I can get one of these chips?- Anybody have extra Colecovision parts, or can someone program one of these chips for me?
