EricDeLee
I am looking for an R4 for a nephew. I need something with it's original packaging and in great shape. Anyone on here have one of those or something like it available?

When you speak of R4 are you talking about the one for Nintendo DS if so I would recommend this http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.15613 I have this and it works great, if not can you explain what R4 is
Cebus Capucinis
I have a ton of doubles of rarity 4's you can buy from me. R4DS for the win. I need to get a DS just for SD cart goodness.
seanhq
I recommend the CycloDS Evolution cart. It's actively updated and supported. R4's (the real ones) haven't had a software update in almost a year. Edited December 3, 2009 by seanhq

I haven't used it much but it was a non-event to get started with it.

It's perfect for the DS or DS light and with the latest firmware it runs everything you throw at it + it's super cheap!!! Of course nothing is running the new Zelda game yet, but I predict by the end of the week there will be a patch for it.
Smatchmo
My two cents. I've had an R4DS, an EZ-Flash V, an AceKard 2.1, and a DSTT (in that order), and I gotta say, the Acekard is by far the best of those four. It's roughy $4-5 more than DSTT (last time I checked) but, based on personal experience and reading on DS forums about the experiences other have had with various flashcards, the AK2 is well worth the extra money. http://www.dealextre...ls.dx/sku.11811 Also, I'm not sure if R4DS is still being supported; I've seen no os update from them in a while. E-Z Flash & AK2 (particularly regarding the unofficial os, AKAIO) have had and continue to have regular software updates on a fairly regular basis. I've read that ClyclosDS is one of the best, if not THE best, but it's a bit pricey compared to the other flashcards and, TBH, I don't see how it could be better than AK2 anyway. Agreed, the CycloDS Evolution is a bit pricey, but after having so many other cards that lost support or had really bad support on updates, it made sense for me to spend a little more. They also have regularly updated beta versions for the firmware that get released sort of silently, which as of today fix a lot of things, like the recently released 4506 ROM Also, the AK2 is nice, but I really like my CycloDS Evolution, especially with my custom made skins for the OS Edited December 4, 2009 by seanhq
+remowilliams
R4DS hasn't seen an update in ages. I use a CycloDS Evolution with my DSlite and it's fantastic. Lets me enjoy homebrew and my entire large NDS library when, where, and how I want to.
Cebus Capucinis
Thirding the CycloDS solution. It's really the best way to travel.
EricDeLee
I ordered one. The price sure went down in the past three months when I ordered my last one. Sweet.
